Hello everyone! In today’s Tale Tuesday we will respond to that a bit rhetorical question in the title. Is it hard to be an indie game developer? It definitely has its difficulties and disadvantages, but it’s also rewarding in a way. Let’s jump right into it! There are many differences between indie developers and the bigContinue reading “TALE TUESDAY #13 – Is it hard to be an indie game dev?”
Hey everyone! Today we’ll talk about how we are creating our art for the games. It might be quite an interesting topic because none of us has actual experience in it and we had to come up with a solution for our games which are obviously on low budget. We were doing nicely. We’ve made a website and announced everything. As I had a little less work to do (due to lack ofContinue reading “TALE TUESDAY #7 – Unexpected problems”
Before we start, I would like to announce that the form of Tale Tuesday changes from now on. A new post will appear every other week on Ko-Fi and will be reposted a week after on the website on Tuesdays. Thank you and sorry for the inconvinience if you were really interested in the seriesContinue reading “TALE TUESDAY #6 – What are we?”
In the last Tale Tuesday, we’ve touched the topic of concept arts. Even as I said previously: “concepts were quite useful”. Today, we’ll focus on that topic more: how helpful concept arts really are? How do they shape the development? I will base of my own experience with them.
We were a small game dev studio. We had no one, but ourselves and we had no budget to have anyone else. Anyone who wanted to help, was free to do so at their own will. However, I knew that someone will have to take care of the graphics. Michael clarified that he is terribleContinue reading “TALE TUESDAY #4 – A game artist from nothing”
